Passive Style
- Talks using apologetic words.
- Is unable to ask for what they need.
- Rambles when talking.
- Looks like they don't mean what they're saying.
- Their voice is soft and weak.
- Usually don't make eye contact.
- Their shoulders curve inward as they look towards the ground.
Assertive Style
- Clear statments of what they want.
- Honest statement of feelings.
- Say what they mean.
- Use "I" messages.
- They look confident.
- Their voice is firm and relaxed.
- They maintain eye contact.
- Stand tall with shoulders square.
Aggressive Style
- Words that sound like you want trouble.
- Accusing and blaming.
- Exaggerated show of strength.
- Sarcastic tone.
- Eyes are narrow, cold, staring.
- Invading body space.
- Body is tense and fists are clenched.
- Finger pointing.
